Police identify man found shot to death in middle of street

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police are still investigating after a man was found shot to death in the middle of the street.

Authorities identified the man as 55-year-old Michael Knox, of Kansas City, MO.

Officers responded to the area of East 69th Street and Prospect Avenue shortly after midnight Saturday on a reported shooting.

When officers arrived they found Knox lying in the middle of the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still looking for the shooter, and no suspect information has been released.
