Downed power line backs up 18th Street Expressway traffic

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Traffic on 18th Street Expressway was backed up Friday morning because of a downed power line.

Kansas Highway Patrol said the power line went down about 10 a.m. at Interstate 35 at the expressway and started shutting down traffic in both northbound and southbound lanes right away.

Officials said they started letting traffic through about an hour later.
