KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
What seemed like an ordinary fill-up at the gas station turned into a hold-up for the owner's car.
Police responded to a gas station near East 45th Street and Cleveland Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in regards to an armed robbery.
The driver said he was attempting to get gas and as he was exiting his vehicle gunman walked up from behind and said "Give it to me!"
The man told police that when he turned around and saw the suspect had a gun, he quickly turned back around and walked away from his car.
The gunman got into his 2001 Cadillac and sped off from the gas station. That is when the victim, who was uninjured, called police.
Anyone with information in regards to the carjacking is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
