CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Police are investigating after a 36-year-old man who drove his Honda Accord into a house on Cedar Mill Crossing near Kellogg Creek Road on Monday.
Just after 1:30 p.m., firefighters arrived at the scene to find that the car had gone through the garage door and through the back wall, according to Tim Cavender with the Cherokee County Fire Department.
The driver of the car Shane Rainwater, 36, had lacerations and had possibly dislocated his hip.
He was taken to Marietta's Kennestone Hospital in critical condition.
Cherokee County sheriff's deputies were investigating what caused the accident.
There was no evidence at the scene that indicated Rainwater was impaired at the time of the accident.
Deputies said no charges have been filed at this time but are possible.
No one inside the home was injured.
