Police seek suspect wanted for aggravated kidnapping

Police are looking for a 26-year-old man wanted for aggravated kidnapping, robbery, battery and motor vehicle theft after a domestic-related incident in Ottawa.

The Ottawa Police Department is attempting to locate Jordan J.A. Henson.

Officers were notified about 9:30 a.m. by the Emporia Police Department that a kidnapping victim, a 32-year-old woman from Ottawa, escaped her captor at a residence in Emporia after she was taken from a home in the 600 block of South Walnut Street against her will.

Henson allegedly beat the woman, stole her car and money, then drove to Emporia.

According to police, when the vehicle stopped at a residence in Emporia, the woman was able to escape and someone was able to help her until police arrived.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

The vehicle stolen is a white, extended cab Nissan Frontier truck displaying Kansas tag 172-CXT.

Henson is described as 6', 260 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes and possibly wearing wire-rim glasses.
