A Sun City father was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison Thursday after meth labs were found in his home.
Lancelot Lipe, 29, pleaded guilty to dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and child abuse.
Maricopa County sheriff's deputies arrested him and his 36-year-old wife, Brenda Lipe, last year after two active meth labs were discovered in their home at 11840 W. Donald Dr.
Brenda Lipe has pleaded guilty to child abuse. Prosecutors said she's set to be sentenced on Dec. 7.
The suspects' three young daughters, ages 6 to 15 years old, were turned over to Child Protective Services.
MCSO sheriff's investigators said they found two separate labs set up, one was inside the house and the other was in the garage. At least one of the labs was "cooking" meth when deputies arrived.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio said deputies actually went to the home because a week before there was a fire in the backyard and Lancelot Lipe allegedly assaulted one of the deputies responding.
