The Missouri Mavericks are inviting fans to help celebrate their season Sunday.
The celebration and goodbye will be at the Independence Events Center from 3-6 p.m. Sunday.
Players and coaches will sign autographs. Items from the team store will be sold and the team's orange game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off.
The Mavericks lost 6-4 Thursday night to the Fort Wayne Comets. The final score was 6-4.
The Mavericks won the first two games against Fort Wayne on their home ice. But the Mavericks returned to Independence and lost two straight. They won Saturday night at the ICE and game six on the road. But the hole they dug was too deep and they went down in game seven.
The finale will pit Wichita against Fort Wayne.
