PAOLA, KS (KCTV) -
The Miami County Sheriff's Department credits the press and Facebook with tracking down a man who was impersonating law enforcement early Saturday morning.
Saturday afternoon they said the person involved has come forward and the case will be forwarded to the undersheriff.
At 4:18 a.m., deputies received a call of a non-law enforcement person pulling people over south of Paola, KS in Miami County.
The vehicle used was described as a black or dark two-door coupe, possibly in the style of a Chevy Cobalt. Witnesses said the car had a single red/blue light on the visor.
The suspected driver was described as a white male, with a thin frame and thin face, wearing oval glasses. He was wearing a black zip-up hooded jacket that was made of a windbreaker, water-resistant material.
