NEW ORLEANS, LA (RNN) – According to Will Ferrell, NBA MVP Derrick Rose's favorite movie is The Notebook.

The star of Anchorman, The Other Guys and the basketball comedy Semi-Pro performed the introductions at Wednesday's Chicago Bulls-New Orleans Hornets match-up. Ferrell added his own "player bios" along with the usual starting lineup call before a game.

"At center, number 13, he's a Scorpio and a horrible dancer, Joakim Noah," he said. "At guard, number 11, he once ate 20 hot dogs in an hour, Ronnie Brewer."

The Hornets also held "80s night" at the arena Wednesday. The home team came onto the court to Journey's Don't Stop Believin' while clips including Michael Jackson moonwalking and the game Pac-Man played on the video screen above them.

Ferrell blended in well with his brown Puma jacket. He played it cool during the road team's introductions but amped up the energy for the hometown Hornets.

"At forward, 6'8" from UCLA, he still loves listening to Bell Biv Devoe, Trevor Ariza!" he said. "At center, 6'10" from Connecticut where he majored in econ but he minored in love, Emeka Okafor!"
