There is confusion as to whether a school bond issue in Grain Valley passed or failed.
Sixty-five percent of the voters said 'yes' to the $3 million bond to fund phase three of construction at Grain Valley North Middle School.
But the school district needed a two-thirds majority, or 66 percent of the vote, for the issue to pass.
So as of Wednesday morning, it appears the issue fell short by just a few votes.
