A car going south on Interstate 35 lost control and overturned at Moonlight Road in Gardner, KS, about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. Both occupants were ejected and killed.
One of the occupants who was ejected was struck by a minivan traveling south, the Johnson County, KS, Sheriff's Office said.
It was unknown if the ejected person was already dead when they were struck.
The car was also struck by the minivan, and there were no injuries to the occupants of the van.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal accident.
