KCTV 5Firefighters battle house fire in Loch Lloyd

Firefighters are on the scene of a major house fire in Loch Lloyd.

Officials say the home located in the 120 block of Street of Dreams has visible flames showing.

The Village of Loch Lloyd is south of Kansas City near Belton. The Belton Fire Department responded and asked for assistance from other agencies.

Management of Loch Lloyd barred the exclusive subdivision's gates to journalists. Details weren't immediately available on whether anyone was at home at the time of the fire or whether anyone was injured.

Officials did not return calls Friday.

But a neighbor tells KCTV5 that Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel, who lives there, ran to the fire in an attempt to help get everyone out of the home. Everyone made it out OK.
