Police, FBI looking for suspect after Prairie Village bank robbery

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS (KCTV) -

Officials are investigating after a Prairie Village bank was robbed Thursday morning. 

About 10:32 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Bank of America near Cambridge Street, just off of State Line Road.

Police said the suspect entered the bank and threatened the teller, who gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money. 

Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male wearing thick glasses, a gray-and-white cap, a dark sweater with horizontal white stripes and dark pants.

The suspect showed no weapon, but threatened employees, indicating he had one.  No one was injured during the robbery.

Witnesses said the suspect left the area in a white Dodge Caravan with Missouri plates. 

The robbery is being investigated by the Prairie Village Police Department and the FBI, who has released surveillance photos of the suspect.
