KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

This weekend a mix of cars will all be under one roof in Kansas City. The cars span generations, they even span more than 100 years.

"We've got some 1920s Ford Model Ts all the way up to our brand new Camaro SS convertible," said Tom Christmann with the Mecum Auto Auction.

All of those cars are for sale at Kansas City's winter Mecum Collector Car Auction. Growing each year, Mecum now brings two auctions a year to Bartle Hall at 301 West 13th Street and this winter auction is the second largest for them.

"We've been in Kansas City for years, We've settled in here at Bartle Hall which is a great facility and we'll have over 800 cars up for auction this weekend," said Christmann.

New, old, whatever a person's taste, it can all be found at affordable prices at the Mecum Auto Auction.

"We've got cars that will sell for just a few thousand dollars. We have cars that will sell for over $100,000, but there's a whole price range and a whole variety," said Christmann.

Christmann said $15 gets a person in the door for this weekend event, but people are invited to bring their family and enjoy looking at the cars and the thrill of a live, televised auto auction as well as bring their checkbook for a possible purchase.

"The excitement is just amazing; you get up by the block and see the auctioneers and the buyers and the seller, it's really electrifying," he said.

Bartle Hall will be buzzing with car fanatics and buyers beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday with the first drop of the auctioneer's gavel at 11 a.m.

The auction runs through Saturday and is open to the public.
