KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Kansas City police say they were able to take a homicide suspect into custody Thursday evening, but a second suspect was believed to be holed up inside an eastside residence.

Police Officer Darin Snapp said police responded at about 5:30 p.m. to a home in the 5000 block of Glenside Court in east Kansas City after the homicide suspect was spotted. He was arrested.

"A second suspect is inside the residence refusing to surrender," Snapp said. "An Operation 100 is underway."

A command post was established at the Ararat Shrine Temple. Police said just before 7:30 p.m. that everyone in the home had surrendered.
