During halftime of the Chiefs game Sunday, a local family got a very special surprise.
Staci Lowe and her family gathered to watch a video from her fiancé, Staff Sgt. William Bell.
She thought he was still in Iraq and was expected back later in the week. But she soon found out otherwise.
Stacey said while she was watching the video of her fiancé, all she could think about was when he would finally be back home.
"I thought it would be great for him to be here. I was tired of all the videos, and ready for him to be home," said Stacey Lowe.
"I don't keep anything from her, so this was tough. In the Army, we have the welcome home ceremony, so to make her miss that was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do...well worth it to make the reunion here instead," said Staff Sgt. William Bell..
Bell says he worked with the Chiefs for months to plan this surprise. Now, he and Stacey are going to be busy planning their wedding.
