PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Phoenix mother pleaded guilty to child abuse charges after the prosecution alleged she didn't report her husband's abuse on her 3-year-old daughter.

Ambreatta Daniels, who also goes by Abreacted Smith, made her plea Friday morning, according to court officials.

Last year, her husband, Corey Rasean Daniels, plead not guilty to the abuse charges in her child's death.

On Oct. 27, 2011, first responders found the child choking and was taken to the hospital.

Corey Rasean Daniels was arrested the same day. Investigators said the girl was covered in bruises, had multiple skull fractures and swelling on her brain. She died days later.

A police report shows Corey Rasean Daniels admitted to hitting the child for not eating a hot dog. In the same paperwork he also confessed to hitting the girl with a belt at least 20 times.
