Third District residents protest home demolitions for crime lab

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Some Third District residents are protesting Kansas City's plan to demolish homes to build a new crime lab and East Patrol Division headquarters.

The $57 million project has divided inner-city residents. Some residents are demanding that the site selection process be done again because the city failed to consult homeowners who will be affected by the project.

The residents say they don't oppose the project, but want a different location.
