Neighbor Reacts To Investigation Of KCK Police

As news broke Tuesday night that members of the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department's SWAT team, Dee Miller said she immediately thought of her next door neighbor.
Members of the SWAT team were handcuffed after a Federal Bureau of Investigation sting operation.
"He was a good person as far as I know," she said. "He's always been a good neighbor for us. We enjoy having him next door. It's always nice having police officers living next door to you."

Several sources said Miller's neighbor is connected to the criminal investigation but his name can't be revealed until charges are filed. Miller said she will feel betrayed if the charges prove to be true.
"I'm absolutely shocked," she said. "I'm very disappointed about it. I hope he's not involved."
Miller said she saw her neighbor in his yard on Wednesday morning letting the dogs out, and his ex-wife appeared to have been crying. She said what's upsetting is that not only one officer but a group of officers has been accused of breaking the oath they took to serve and protect the community.
"I mean, these are the people we look up to for our safety," Miller said. "People we hope we can trust. If anybody, we should be able to trust them."
