Kansas City broadcasting legend Walt Bodine celebrated his 90th birthday this weekend.
Known as the radio voice of Kansas City, Bodine has worked for more than 60 years for local television news stations and radio talk shows. Every Friday he still hosts "The Walt Bodine Show" on KCUR-FM.
Bodine is in a wheelchair now and has hearing and vision problems. But his voice is still strong and his mind sharp with stories and memories.
The Kansas City Star reports that Bodine spent Saturday afternoon celebrating with several family members and friends at a local restaurant. And by Monday, he will have had four 90th birthday celebrations.
