Liana Joyce is a familiar face to many Kansas Citians. For more than 35 years, she has had a front-row seat to the major news events in town. For covering news in Kansas City, Liana has become a well known and respected reporter.

She began her career at KCMO AM-FM radio in 1970, before switching her focus to television reporting.

A Kansas City native, Liana attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.

Liana and her husband enjoy visiting their son, Ian, at the University of Chicago.

What Liana says she likes most about her career is representing KCTV5 at highly publicized trials and interviewing local politicians and presidential candidates.
