Craig Nigrelli

Craig Nigrelli joined KCTV5 News in July 2005 as a reporter and weekend anchor. He now anchors KCTV5 News at 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Before moving to Kansas City, Craig worked at KSTP in Minneapolis, Minn., where he served as both an anchor and reporter. Craig has also worked in Albuquerque, N.M., at KOAT and Buffalo, N.Y., at WIVB.

Craig is no stranger to covering late-breaking news. He covered the TWA Flight 800 disaster over Long Island and anchored KOAT coverage of the devastating Cerro Grande fire in New Mexico that burned more than 400 buildings and part of the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Craig also covered the massacre of six Wisconsin deer hunters and the Red Lake High School shooting.

Craig graduated from Rutgers University in 1989, where he was co-captain of the men’s tennis team and was runner-up in the 1988 Atlantic 10 singles tournament.

Craig and his wife, Carol, live in the Northland.
