Kansas City Chiefs first-round draft pick Eric Berry posted Friday on Twitter that he had agreed to terms with the Chiefs and he practiced with the team on Saturday morning.

Berry used his Twitter feed to say, "Bout to head to st. Joe!!!" and then "Aka the deals done!"

Berry was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2010 draft and as an All-American at Tennessee. Berry was a two-time unanimous All-American selection and won the Jim Thorpe award as the nation's top collegiate defensive back.

Berry intercepted 14 passes in his 3-year career at Tennessee and had 241 tackles.

KCTV5 sports director Michael Coleman said Friday that Berry has agreed to a six-year, $60 million contract, making him the highest paid safety in NFL history. Coleman said $34 million of the contract is guaranteed.
