Chiefs Sign Free Agent LB

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free agent linebacker Justin Rogers.

Rogers, 6-4, 246 pounds, played in 31 games in two seasons with Dallas from 2007 to 2008 main on special teams.

He ranked third on the Cowboys with 18 special teams tackles in 2008. Rodgers was originally a sixth-round pick by New England in 2007.

Rogers played in college at SMU, where he finished second in school history with 19.5 sacks.

The Chiefs placed running back Jackie Battle on injured reserve on Wednesday.
