Derrick Rose, the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft, has been sidelined with tendinitis in his right knee.The Bulls' top pick missed his second consecutive summer league game Thursday, and was also expected to miss Friday's contest.According to ESPN, Rose will likely undergo an MRI when he returns to Chicago this weekend.Rose told ESPN his tendinitis keeps flaring up because "I'm young and my legs aren't strong enough."
The former Memphis star played in Chicago's matchup against the Miami Heat -- and No. 2 pick Michael Beasley -- on Monday. He then apparently aggravated his sore knee during Tuesday's exhibition game.Through two games, Rose has averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 assists.Rose helped lead the Memphis Tigers to this year's NCAA championship. He averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds in his freshman season.
