Citizens cast more than 6,500 votes for their favorite TV public service ad in the 2008 Destination: Safe contest on safe driving. The region's award-winning Destination: Safe Coalition partnered with the Kansas and the major road safety issues affecting the Greater Kansas City community in a compelling way.

Voters chose the "Happy Anniversary" idea from Amanda Logan of Overland Park as the strongest message about safe driving. Thanks to the contest participants and voters for bringing attention to the importance of wearing seat belts, and the dangers of aggressive and drunk driving in our community.
