OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- KCTV5 Political Analyst Fred Logan has been named Johnson Countian of the Year by the Johnson County Community College Foundation.Logan will be honored at the foundation's Some Enchanted Evening gala Nov. 8, at the Overland Park Marriott Hotel. Proceeds from the event support student scholarships at the community college.During the past 21 years, the foundation has raised more than $3.6 million for the college's scholarship program through Some Enchanted Evening.Logan has been a consistent, dependable leader for Johnson County, said Bob Regnier, president and chief executive officer of the Bank of Blue Valley and president of the foundation.
His unwavering support of education at all levels has positively impacted our community for future generations, Regnier said.Logan is an attorney and partner with Logan Logan & Watson, L.C., in Prairie Village, Kan.In the community, he is chairman of the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City. He also serves as a vice chairman and a member of the board of directors of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, a member of the board of directors of St. Luke’s South Hospital, and a member of the University of Kansas Edwards Campus Advisory Board.Logan is also KCTV5's political analyst.Click here to read his campaign blog on KCTV5.com.
