To see these and other pets up for adoption, check the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City Web site.
CRICKET is a sweet and mild-mannered Rottweiler/Lab mix who had a rough life before coming to the Humane Society. She had been living on a chain and having puppies. She's a bit bashful so she'll need a quiet home and some extra love to get her settled into a good life -- she's already discovered that she's fond of dog beds! Cricket is 3 years old and she gets along well with other dogs. She has a black and tan coat and a sweet face. She is blind in her right eye from an injury. Cricket has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and she weighs 50 pounds. She had heartworms but she has been successfully treated for those.
ETHAN is a good-natured Retriever mix. He's got a pretty red coat with white paws and a white chest. He's adorable! Ethan's eye had been injured and the Humane Society had to surgically remove his eye. He still has stitches as you can see in the photos, but they'll be coming out soon. His other eye is fine. Ethan weighs 56 pounds and he's a year old. He's been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. He gets along well with other dogs. The Humane Society transferred Ethan to their shelter from a city shelter.

MEMPHIS is a handsome guy with a buff and white colored coat and gold eyes. He's friendly, mellow and just rolls with everything. He gets along well with other cats. Memphis is a year old and he's been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for FIV and feline luekemia. He's a medium size at 8 pounds. Memphis was brought to the Humane Society because his person was moving somewhere where cats aren't allowed. He'll make a great companion for someone.
