Law Enforcement Call Off Hunt For Drug Suspect In Roeland Park

Law enforcement officers from several agencies called off a search for a suspected drug trafficker after an incident Monday morning in Kansas City, Kan.

The search was called off around 10:30 a.m. and at least one city pool was closed during the search.

Roeland Park, Kansas City, Kan., Merriam, Mission and Prairie Village police, along with Drug Enforcement Administration agents and Johnson County Sheriff's deputies are working in the search, which is in a four-block radius near County Line Road and Falmouth Road.

Police said they are looking for a Hispanic man in his 20s who is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs around 180 pounds and has short, dark hair. Police said the man was wearing dark blue jeans and a gray T-shirt with white designs.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call police.
