Johnson, Wyandotte Counties Get Transportation Grants

MISSION, Kan. -- Johnson and Wyandotte counties will receive a $10.5 million federal TIGER grant to make transit improvements.The announcement was made on Wednesday morning in Mission. The money will be used to improve the Metcalf Avenue and Shawnee Mission Parkway corridors, as well as the State Avenue corridor in Kansas City, Kan., officials said. It will also be used to renovate bus stops.
