GLADSTONE, Mo. -- Gladstone police have finished their investigation of alleged sexual abuse at a day care and the case now awaits action by the Clay County prosecutor."I did see police cars sitting out there and questioned what was going on," neighbor Stephen Hylton said.Until two months ago, Hylton said his neighbors' house was always busy, with "people coming and going all the time." The woman who lives there ran a day care out of her house."We tried to get a hold of her to watch our grandkids, but it was full," Hylton said. After Hylton noticed police at the home, he said, the day care abruptly shut down. The coming and going suddenly stopped after allegations of sexual abuse against children were reported to police. The alleged perpetrator who is now under investigation is the day care providers in 19-year-old son.Police said they can't comment about the case because it is already in the hands of prosecutors. Police said it's up to prosecutors to figure out where the case goes from here.
