KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Snow crept into the Kansas City area overnight and is expected to last through part of the day Monday.

KCTV5's Greg Adaline and Christina Medina report that many highways have stayed mostly clear, but some on- and offramps, along with side streets, were slushy and slick.

Road crews on both sides of the state line started working Sunday night and have treated roads through the night. Since snow has not accumulated on most roads, crews stuck with treating roads as opposed to plowing.
