MERRIAM, Kan. -- Merriam police said a man was hit and killed by a vehicle in front of his Merriam house Sunday night at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Goodman.

Police said the vehicle, a pickup truck or SUV, did not stop after it hit the man.

Police said there is surveillance tape from across the street and are reviewing it to see if they can learn what happened. They said they may release the tape in order to help locate the vehicle involved.
