KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A four-plex in Kansas City suffered significant damage during a morning fire Sunday.

Fire crews were called to the building at 820 N. Revere Court shortly after 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The homeowner was at work at the time of the accident and said he arrived home to fire crews trying to put out the fire.

The homeowner said his computer was making a strange sound Saturday night, but is unsure if the computer caused the fire. The homeowner lives by himself and the entire unit was destroyed.

A neighbor of the unit, Scott Wilson said he smelled smoke and went to the door of the unit and felt the heat. Wilson said she went to the other unites in the building and got everyone out before call the fire department.
