KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A lawsuit against the Kansas City Power and Light district can move forward. An attorney for the family that filed the complaint about the entertainment district's dress code said Thursday that he received right-to-sue letters from the Missouri Commission on Human Rights.Seven members of a black family claimed that they were not allowed entrance into a nightclub in the district, but they said club doormen allowed similarly dressed white customers to go inside. Now that the commission has sent the letters, the lawyer will meet with the family to get its approval to file the suit.
