Search Continues For Atchison Co. Woman

BROWN COUNTY, Kan. -- Law enforcement, family members and volunteers continued in their search for a woman missing from Atchison County for more than two weeks.Those searching on Saturday came with with horses in tow to search rural areas for Patricia Kimmi."It's not fun to go through," searcher Heidi Byrne said. "Our prayers are all with the family. I just wish they didn't have to go through this."Kimmi was reported missing Nov. 2, when friends or family said they hadn't hear from her. Crews have searched areas around her house and other areas for the past two weeks.On Saturday searchers expanded their area beyond the Horton, Kan., to nearby counties.Saturday's search was long major highways and roads like 36 Highway in Brown County.Searchers and law enforcement said they are hopeful to find something that can help lead to finding Kimmi."We hold out hope we'll come across more clues and lead us in a specific direction," Patricia Kimmi's son, Gene Kimmi, said. "It's a roller coaster of emotions everyday."Sheriffs officials said there were obvious signs of foul play in Kimmi's home in Holton.A previous search turned up a money clip and camoflauge hat near the home. Investigators said they hope they are clues in the disappearance.
