Two men have been charged in the case of an alleged carjacking that involved a 2-year-old boy.

Charles White, 19, and Frank Scharschell, 22, have been charged with aggravated robbery, burglary, kidnapping and endangering a child in the case that happened earlier this week.

Police said a man and his wife drove in separate cars to a liquor store near 55th Street and Leavenworth Road. The man said when he came out of the store he saw a man pull his wife out of the car and take off in the SUV with the child inside.

The man eventually let the boy go unharmed. The man later crashed the vehicle near 22nd Street and Shawnee Drive.
