The Johnson County Board of Commissioners is set to determine on Thursday whether sewers will be excavated through one of the county's oldest neighborhoods.

New sewer lines are required to service a planned Overland Park development on 80 acres of city land at the southeast corner of 159th Street and Metcalf Avenue, which is right by the Blue Valley Riding neighborhood in Stilwell, Kan.

County residents who live in the area right beside the development are suing to stop it.
