KCP&L Holds Energy Resources Fair

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- As temperatures drop and electricity bills go up, Kansas City Power and Light is offering a series of Energy Resource Fairs to help customers save money and pay energy bills.KCP&L officials said the fair will provide some suggestions on how to cut down electric bills."You can meet us face to face, find out how to save money, save energy and also find out about bill payment assistance," KCP&L representative Courtney Beatty said.Beatty said there are a number of ways KCP&L can try to lower customers' bills."We have energy-optimizing programmable thermostats and we also have weatherization programs," Beatty said."We also have new payment plans that are more flexible if customers fall behind."The Energy Resource Fair runs from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Parish, 318 Benton Blvd.
