Police Search For Driver Who Rammed Cruiser

Driver’s SUV Found Crashed Shortly After Incident

Kansas City and Raytown police are looking for a motorist who they said rammed a Raytown police car Monday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly after 2 p.m. near 53rd Terrace and Blue Ridge Cutoff. Police said a Raytown detective fired shots at the motorist after the crash.

The green Chevrolet Blazer that was involved in the incident was found crashed around 2:30 p.m. near Blue Parkway and East 55th Street with the engine still running.

KCPD called in a K-9 unit to search for the man involved.
