Second Raytown Abduction Attempt Reported

RAYTOWN, Mo. -- For the second time in the past few weeks, parents in the Raytown School District are being warned of a possible abduction attempt.The most recent abduction attempt came not far from Raytown Middle School on Wednesday.Wednesday's scenario played out much the same as one near Raytown South Middle School at 83rd Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard less that two weeks ago. A boy was approached by a man in a dark late model car who yelled at him to get in, police said.Raytown police said they haven't been able to get a good description from Wednesday's incident.In both cases, the boys ran away from the cars and reported the incident to adults.The Raytown School District said it wants parents and students to be warned and extra careful. The district sent an automated phone message to district parents Wednesday afternoon.
