KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police credit a stranger and a security camera for leading to an arrest in an attempted rape at the Ameristar Casino recently.Clay County prosecutors charged Manoxay J. Salivanh with attempted rape on Tuesday.Police said a 23-year-old woman was in the parking garage at the casino earlier this month when Salivanh followed her into the elevator and attacked her, officers said.Police said a man heard the screams and ran to help."Somebody getting involved -- taking the opportunity to do that even though they put themselves at risk -- really helped save this woman from this sexual attack," Capt. Rich Lockhart said. When Salivanh returned to the casino later, security officers were waiting for him and held him for police."You're talking about an area that has more security cameras and more people around, than many places in town," Lockhart said. "It's not a good place for someone to commit a crime."
