An explosion rocked a St. Joseph soybean plant after an external hydrogen tank blew up and started a fire Friday morning.

About 30 employees were inside AG Processing, 900 SW Lower Lake Boulevard around 3:20 a.m. The fire started in a rear area of the facility.

Nobody was hurt in the explosion and fire officials said around 10 employees were in the immediate area when the explosion occurred, but were not inside.

Fire crews tried to put out a fire that started from the explosion and have been trying to deal with keeping the fire out for several hours.

No one was hurt in explosion. Fire officials also said there is no hazardous material in the explosion.
