KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A huge collection of stolen vehicles and items along with a meth lab was discovered after a standoff at a Kansas City house Monday. Two moving men said they woke up around 6:30 a.m Monday to find their moving truck gone. The pair called police and around 9 a.m. officers found the truck near a house in the 500 block of Belmeade Road.Police said when officers tried to talk with the people inside the house they barricaded themselves inside and refused to come out.Tactical teams surrounded the house and eventually the two men came out. Another man was found hiding inside the house as police searched the location. Also inside, officers found what they believed to be a meth lab. Investigators backed out of the house and called in hazmat crews to make sure the house wasn't contaminated.Inside the house, police also found rooms filled with possible stolen items -- from power tools to electronics. They also found two stolen motorcycles and another stolen car.Investigators from police departments across the metro came by the house and Kansas City police said it could be some time before they can track down all of the people that may have had items stolen.“We're not sure what all we have but sure investigation will lead to more victims," Kansas City police Sgt. Keith Ericsson said.
