A shootout involving FBI agents and an assault suspect shook up some at an Olathe strip mall.

FBI officials said the man shot was wanted for aggravated assault in Johnson County.

Authorities said they located the man in the shopping plaza. An employee at a Subway sandwich shop said he had to run to lock the door during the incident. He said he heard close to 20 gunshots.

"At first I thought it was fireworks, then I saw one of the guys with his arm extended out and saw flashes at the end of the gun," Subway employee Ryan Meyer said. "And that's when I locked the door and moved all the customers to the back of the store."

The suspect was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being taken into custody. Nobody else was injured in the shootout.
