An accident in Kansas City sent a 16-year-old to the hospital in critical condition Sunday.

The accident occurred near the corner of Northwest 68th Street and Evelyn Road when police said a Hyundai with one adult and four teenagers was traveling west when a Chevy collided with the other car.

Some witnesses who barely escaped being part of the accident took pictures of the accident.

"It was just like what I saw on Tru TV, but it was life," witness Shaw Shu said. "The Chevy was rushing to us after the crash ... Yeah, we were just trying to avoid it."

Everyone other than the 16-year-old got out of the wreck with minor injuries. The four people in the Hyundai were members of a church youth group. Police said the minister was driving the car.
