RAYTOWN, Mo. -- Two boys killed during a crime spree in Raytown last spring were honored with a memorial at their elementary school.Ten-year-old Amir Clemons and 7-year-old brother Gerard Clemons were found dead next to their aunt and her boyfriend in March.Since their deaths, teachers at Blue Ridge Elementary said they have wanted to honor the boys with a memory on the school's basketball court, where teachers said they loved to play.Teachers donated money to buy the stone honoring the brothers and Sunday it was installed in the ground between two of the basketball hoops."We wanted to do something to memorialize them on our grounds," Blue Ridge Principal David Trewhitt said. "They were very well-liked and they had a very supportive family, and we decided since they loved basketball so much, basketball was the place and the thing we needed to do to honor them."Gevante Anderson, the boy's aunt's former boyfriend, was arrested in July for the killings and faces four murder charges.
