KDOT: Bikers For Babies Might Delay Traffic
Event To Start, End At Kansas Speedway On Sunday

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Approximately 6,000 to 8,000 motorcyclists will be participating in the annual March of Dimes 15th Annual Kansas City Bikers for Babies ride, which will begin and end at the Kansas Speedway.The Kansas Department of Transportation advises that there will be a significant impact on traffic at times in the following counties: Douglas, Jefferson, Johnson, Leavenworth, Shawnee and Wyandotte.The 100-mile ride is slated to start between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.From the Kansas Speedway, riders will:
- Take I-435 south to K-10 west;
- K-10 west to the first Eudora exit, 1400 Road;
- 1400 Road north to Main Street (Eudora);
- Main Street north to 222nd Street;
- 222nd Street north to K-32/Leavenworth County Road One;
- K-32 west to US-24/40;
- US-24/40 west to US-59/US-24 (Lawrence);
- US-59/US-24 west to K-237;
- K-237/West Edge Road north to K-92;
- K-92 east to K-16 (Oskaloosa);
- K-16 south and east to US-24/State Avenue back to the Kansas Speedway.
