KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The parents of a 17-year-old shooting victim and the parents of her alleged shooter spoke out in a joint news conference on Thursday. The families came together in support of one another after the death of Charmaine Jamison, who was shot and killed by her 16-year-old boyfriend in an apparent accidental shooting on Saturday.Kelly Washington, the mother of the teen charged with his girlfriend's death, said the families remain united in their feelings about the couple."There was no jealousy," she said. "It was not gang related. They loved each other. They'd been dating for nine months."Parents of both teens called the shooting an accident."It had nothing to do with anything else," said Sheron Jamison, the victim's mother. "It was just unfortunate that the incident happened."The teen has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the second degree and is being held in a juvenile detention center
