NORTHMOOR, Mo. -- An argument led to four people being run over by a vehicle and one man being killed Sunday morning in the small town of Northmoor.Jack A Martin, 23, Liberty, Mo., is was initially held on a 24-hour administrative hold as the suspect in the accident. Police said Martin drove his 1994 Jeep Cherokee into the crowd of people just after 2 a.m. in the small town of 441 people that sits between Kansas City and Riverside, Mo.Police marked several areas on the road where the accident occured, including broken glass and plastic, along with skid marks."It was some dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend that escalated into a physical disturbance," Northmoor Police Chief Larry Davis said.Police said that somewhere between six and 16 people were standing in the crowd when the Jeep drove at them.The identity of the man who died in the accident has not been released.Davis said the last time there was any trouble similar to this in Northmoor was in 1994 when there was an fire set by an arsonist that killed someone.
